About
Purr & Seek is a cosy hidden-cat game. Every level is an illustrated scene, a bakery, a bookshop, a greenhouse, a harbour, and it is full of cats. The game shows you one of them and you have to spot it in the crowd. Then the next one, and the one after that.
Drag to look around, pinch to zoom in, and tap the cat when you find it. You get three hearts per level and tapping the wrong cat costs one, which is easier to do than it sounds when there are a hundred of them and a lot of them are ginger. Levels are timed, and each one has three stars to earn: one for finishing, one for being quick and one for not tapping a wrong cat.
60 places, 300 levels
There are 60 places to search, and you go back to each one five times. Every visit shows a bit more of the picture and a bigger crowd, so it starts at around 20 cats and the busiest scenes have well over 100. There’s a village market, a seaside café, a ramen shop, a lighthouse cottage, an observatory, a winter cabin and plenty more.
There are more than 400 different cats to find. Chef, Scout, Froggy, Toadstool, one dressed as a strawberry, and so on.
The sticker journal
Every cat you find becomes a sticker. There’s a journal to stick them in, and you can lay the pages out however you like, with decorations to go alongside. Playing earns yarn, which pays for hints and extra stickers. A hint only shows you the area the cat is in, so you still have to find it yourself.
Something new every day
There’s a daily search with its own rule, like finding every cat in a hat, plus a few small missions and a streak to keep going. Around Halloween there are night-time levels too, with their own cats in costume.
